Street art Valencia

Although it is one of the largest cities in Spain, Valencia can be defined as one of the hidden treasures of the country. It is a city with many faces and a lot of art. Street art.

Whether you will like street art or not, it’s a matter of attitude and taste. When I talk about street art, I do not mean random and indiscriminate graffiti, but well conceived art, which aims to transform an open space or wall. The street art has previously been limited to statues, but today it is a little bit different. Graffiti have become an acceptable form of expression and nowadays we can see street art to flourish. Everywhere, especially in Spain!Street art ValenciaThere are so many things to do in of Valencia, but when I think of it, the first thing that comes up to my mind is not a modern installation, historical statue or a famous sculpture. But I can clearly remember all the street canvas I saw while walking around the beautiful Valencia.

Valencia street artIf you ever have the chance to visit the third largest city of Spain, be prepared to experience the highly artistic and vibrant atmosphere of this amazing place. Save some hours to get lost in the street art paradise, known also as El Carmen. This neighbourhood is full of enormous buildings on which street artists have let the fancy roam. While walking around, I felt as a real tourist capturing this and that, and killing my phone and camera batteries. Really, all the streets in this city have so many stories to tell.

The street art has its own hallmark. We can not accommodate it to galleries, theaters, concert or sport halls. It is an entire city that brings his signature and never stay unnoticed.

Valencia street artIt’s absolutely normal to stumble upon some artists spending their day showing to the world how infinite their imagination is. As I know painting public space in most of the times is illegal, so when you catch up an artist while doing his beautiful crime, you are a lucky fellow! After all, when any art is a good message and makes people smile, those who create it are worthy of respect!

Art has changed the city and I am absolutely in love with its new face. My advice to you all is to book your flight tickets as soon as possible and to feel the magic in Valencia! You can thank me later.
